Milestones
1994:
Norvic was registred as Norvic-Health Care & Research Center Limited. Norvic starts its services with 30 beds and shifted to its own premises in Thapathali with 100 beds facilities in 1997.
1998:
MoU signed between Norvic and Escorts Heart Institute & Research Center, New Delhi to start Heart Command Centre under their supervision.
1999:
Established the Center for Neurological & Allied Sciences and started Neurosurgical procedures. First Pacemaker Implant was conducted.
2000:
Established First Cath Lab in the Country on 24 August, 2000.
2002:
The first Beating Heart CABG procedure and Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) carried out Norvic was Certified with ISO 9001:2000 Certification for Quality Management System.
2003:
Peripheral, Cerebral, Renal and Carotid Angioplasties carried out.
2004:
Norvic starts state-of-the-art dedicated ‘Digestive Disease Centre’ with facilities such as Endoscopy, Sigmoidocopy and Colonoscopy. Established Obstetrics & Gynecology Department.
2005:
Norvic commenced Mini PCNL and thereby enhancing and specializing its Urology facility. Established CT Scan. Norvic starts Immunization Programme for the United Nations. Norvic signs direct billing agreement with Vanbreda International of Belgium.
2006:
Norvic carried out its first “Total Knee Replacement” Surgery. Norvic signs agreement with the Asian Development Bank for Medical Care.
2007:
For the first time in Nepal, Norvic starts its state-of the-art “Mission: Save Heart Mobile CCU”. Norvic signs agreement with UNMIN for Medical Care.
2008:
Norvic signs agreement with Interantional Organisation for Migration (IOM). Norvic signs agreement with Department for International Development (DFID).PM Inaugurates Smt. Ganga Devi Chaudhary Cathlab on May 17, 2008. Dr Bharat Rawat Participated in NRNA Charity Conference in UK and propagated the PWP scheme on 7th Dec 2008.
