World Diabetes Day held at Norvic
On the occasion of World Diabetes Day on 14th of November, 2007, Norvic International Hospital organized various programmes to raise awareness on Diabetes mellitus. On the occasion, a 3 day long free check-up camp was organized. Services given free of charge were Blood Sugar fasting and random, micro albumin, Urine routine and so on. A total of 107 patients availed the free consultation services. Free medicine and free insulin starter were also provided to the needy and underprivileged patients.
Doctors involved in the free camp were Sr. Consultant Physician/internist, Dr. Shyam Bahadur Pandey, Consultant Gastroenterologist and Diabetologist, Dr. Pradeep Shrestha, Endocrinologists, Dr. Jyoti Bhattarai Kunwar and Dr. Dina Shrestha.
On the occasion, Consultant Gastroenterologist and Diabetologists, Associate Prof. Dr. Pradeep Shrestha gave an extensive presentation on Prevention of Diabetes and its Complications to medical professionals, media, general public and the patients. The Presentation was very successful and useful to the community at large, said Dr. M.K. Malla, Hospital Director of Norvic.
