NORVIC'S NEWLY ESTABLISHED SMT. SARASWATIDEVI CHAUDHARY EMERGENCY NOW AT SERVICE:
Norvic has enhanced its critical Emergency care facility many a fold. The Hospital had 4 bedded Emergency care facilities till recently. As the Emergency care requirements grew and the patient handling was getting more demanding, Norvic decided to enhance and upgrade it Emergency care facilities at par with any International Hospitals worldwide.

The newly established Emergency department is contribution of Sri Lunkaran Das Chaudhary, the Founder Chairman of the Chaudhary Group, who has made the New Emergency in the name of his beloved mother Late Srimati Saraswati Devi Chaudhary.

The newly established 24 x 7 hrs Emergency is made in such a way that critical patients from the ambulance could be transferred to the Emergency door directly. The beds are very comfortable at par with international standards, can be used as trolley, can be lowered, raised or tilled as per the need making easy transfer of the patients to CT, MRI and other procedures. As the Emergency has a minor OT inside, minor surgical procedure can be handled immediately. If has a separate observation room for patient needing isolated care.

The Emergency is equipped with monitored beds, all critical care equipment, centralized oxygen, vacuum, ventilator, Defibrillator, portable X-Ray, portable USG, adjacent CT Scan, Pathology Lab, etc to meet the critical care requirements.

The Emergency staffs are expertly trained to deal the patients on severity of the problem under the guidance and control of Emergency In-charge, (MD specialist, Internal Medicine and critical care specialist) for critical 8 hrs. For the balance 16 hrs. Sr. Medical officers will take care and the Emergency In-charge will be on call.

It has also availability of 24 hrs. Resident Sr. Consultant Cardiologist for taking care of heart attack patients backed by a team of cardiologists, physicians. Pulmonologist, Orthopedics, Neurosurgeons and General Surgeons so that critical care can be rendered as a team of multidisciplinary services.

The Emergency is connected to the 3 Operation Theatres, Cath Lab through a adjacent lift.

There is a systematic information flow of the patient receiving viding walkie talkie of the Ambulance and notifying bell arrangement from the main gate. Apart from that, there is a separate section that receives the Emergency call and arranges the Ambulance/Mobile CCU as per the need of the patient.

Air Transport
Emergency Department maintains a good working relationship with Air Ambulance Services and arranges evacuation of patients for interventional cardiology, major trauma or burn cases.

Trauma Service
The emergency also manages trauma care. In the event of an accident, Norvic trauma team is always ready to handle all critical cases. It is expected that the new Emergency of Norvic will redefine the critical care and Emergency services in Nepal.
